1. What is our Legal Entity

  1. This website is owned and operated by Strut Digital Creative Ltd Trading under the brands of “Hotscot” and ”Strut”

  4. In our relationship with you under the terms of the EU General Data Protection Requirement (GDPR) we are both a Data Controller and Data Processor for your personal data.

 

2. How the law protects you

Data protection laws state that we are only able to process personal data if we have valid reasons to do so. The reasons we process your personal data include, but are not limited to,  performance of a contract, billing and to contact you about our services.

You have the right to ask for your data to be removed at any time. BUT this may delay or prevent us from fulfilling our contractual obligations to you. It may also mean that we shall be unable to provide our services or process the cancellation of your service.

 

3. What we do with the data you provide

Until you become a customer with a contract or order for services with us we will only keep the minimum of personal data about you on our contact database and will use this only for the purpose of supporting the process of negotiating a potential sale with you:

  • Details and dates of your contact enquiries
  • Records of any ensuing communication by email, telephone or post
  1. We will only use this data in the course of our routine business processes in negotiating the sale of and ensuing maintenance of the services we provide to you and invoicing you for the fees due to us, including but not exclusively the following business activities:

    3. To comply with our contractual obligations we have with you;

    10. To provide you with information about products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you

If you do purchase our services and become our customer, the scope of your data we keep will be extended to cover that required for the management and provision of the services we provide to you such as renewal dates and fees due. You will at that point become subject to our fully GDPR compliant terms and conditions which can be viewed at:

  3. If you become a customer, we will from time to time use this data to contact you if we think you would be interested in similar services and products that we offer that would benefit your business
  4. As our customer. we will ensure to the best of our ability that any third party systems we use to store and process your data, specifically our accounting software operated by Sage and our hosting systems operated by either Heart Internet, Fasthosts, 20i or UKHost4U is GDPR compliant.
  5. If you do not become a customer following initial submission of data to us, or cease to be our customer, we will delete your data within 6 months

 

4. Your Rights

  1. You have the right to ask to view, amend or delete your personal data
  2. If you wish to view, amend or request deletion of your personal data please email us on us@strutdigital.co.uk clearly setting out your requests
  3. You have the right to be notified by us within 72 hours of any suspected breach of your data, and to expect us to notify the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) of any such breach on your behalf
  4. If you request removal of your data we cannot continue to communicate with you unless you contact us directly again

 

5. What we will NOT do with your data

  1. We will not pass on your data to any third party
  2. We will not use your data to send newsletters or marketing material to you
  3. We will not use your data for any other purposes without gaining your express opt in consent
