Our customers
have drawn attention to a couple of scams currently going on about
domain name registrations:
Domain Registry of America:
The way
they operate is by contacting you, offering to renew your
domain names and in the process taking over your domain management at
an inflated cost. Ignore
them. Where Hotscot manages your domain, you can be
assured we let you know and will renew your domain in good time before
expiry.
Imaginary Competitors:
Another scam
is where a registration company calls up and says that somebody else is
about to register a domain similar - but never identical - to a company
or domain you hold. They may even say where this customer is
based, usually in a town near yours to add authenticity to their call. Ignore them

Chris our
design Director got married in the Drakensberg Mountains in South
Africa on March 15th. All our best wishes go to him and the new
"Mrs Hawkes", Charne.
Dagan our Senior Developer and his wife Wendy are now the proud parents
of their second daughter Maya, born on 10th March. Congratulations to
Dagan and Wendy, and of course to Maya's older sister, Adi.
